Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Laundry Circle collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to delete it. It applies to the Laundry Circle mobile app, website and services (the "Platform"), operated by Kavion Global Consultancy Private Limited ("we", "us"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. What we collect

When you create an account

Your name, and your email address and/or mobile number.
A password, if you choose one. It is stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read it.
A profile photo, if you add one.

If you use Laundry Circle as a customer

The names of the people in your household you add, so each basket is labelled.
Your pickup address.
Your orders: items and quantities, pickup dates, the pickup code for each order, status, and the amounts your laundry charges.
Invoices and dues between you and your laundry.
Your Laundry Circle plan: whether you are in the free month or subscribed, and references for each payment. Card and UPI details are entered with our payment processor, Razorpay, and never reach us.
If you are a laundry: the convenience fee on each completed order, what you owe us and what has been settled, and the tax invoices for it. If you have enabled online payment, the bank account and PAN you gave for settlement, and your GSTIN if you provided one, so that Razorpay can pay you and we can invoice you correctly.
Items you pin, categories and presets you save.

If you run a laundry on Laundry Circle

Your business name, drop-off address, contact number, working hours, holidays and prices.
Your laundry's location on the map, worked out from your address (using Google's geocoding service) or set by you, and how far you travel — so nearby customers can find you.
The staff you add: their name, email address, optional phone number and job.

If you work at a laundry (staff)

The name, email address and optional phone number your laundry entered when it invited you, and your job.
The orders you are assigned and the actions you take on them, such as confirming a pickup. Your name is recorded on the orders you handle.

Your location

If you allow it, the app reads your approximate location when you search for laundries near you. It is sent with that search to sort results by distance, and it is not stored. You can search by pincode instead, and you can turn location off at any time in your phone's settings.

Automatically

Our servers keep routine technical logs — for example IP address, time and the address requested — to keep the service secure and to diagnose faults. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.

2. How we use it

To run the Platform: connect you with your laundry, schedule pickups, track orders, and keep invoices.
To sign you in, including sending one-time codes by email or SMS.
To send messages about your account and orders — for example that an order was picked up, or that someone was assigned to collect it.
To take payment for the Laundry Circle plan.
To calculate, invoice and collect the convenience fee a laundry owes us, and to pay a laundry its share of an order a customer paid online.
To keep the Platform secure, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who can see it

Who	What they see
Your laundry	If you are its customer: your name, phone, pickup address, household member names on orders, your orders, invoices and dues.
Laundry staff	Only what their job needs. A delivery rider sees the address, phone and items for their own pickups — never prices. Staff who process clothes see items only, not who they belong to.
Our service providers	Microsoft (hosting, database and email delivery) · Razorpay (payments, settlement to laundries, and the convenience fee) · Google (turning laundry addresses into map locations) · our email and SMS delivery providers. They process data only to provide their service to us.
Authorities	Where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Payments between you and your laundry for laundry services are made directly between you and them, outside the Platform.

4. How long we keep it

Your account details are kept while your account is open.
When you delete your account, your name, email address, phone number, password, photo, addresses, household names, saved lists and notifications are erased straight away.
Orders, invoices and payment records are kept, without your name, for as long as your laundry and we need them for accounting and legal obligations. The name of a staff member who handled an order stays on that order.
One-time codes expire after 10 minutes. Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

5. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time:

In the app: Settings → Delete account (staff: the ⋮ menu on the Today screen).
On the web, even without the app: Delete your Laundry Circle account.

Either way we send a code to your email or phone first, to make sure it is you. A laundry cannot delete its account while it still has open orders — the clothes need to be returned first.

6. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. You can update your name and photo in the app yourself. For anything else, write to us at the address below and we will respond within the time the law requires.

7. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as hashes. Access inside a laundry is limited by job, and enforced on our servers rather than just hidden in the app. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Children

Laundry Circle is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. A household member's name added by a parent or guardian is used only to label their laundry.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email before any significant change takes effect.

This policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction, as set out in our Terms.
